NUTRITIONAL PHILOSOPHY
In the client-dietitian relationship, nutrition therapy supports the client’s need for behavior change. Some of these changes are to challenge disordered and irrational thinking about food and weight, explore feelings related to hunger and fullness, metabolism and body image, symptoms of starvation, food facts and fallacies, and eventually learning how to integrate intuitive eating. We want our clients to feel comfortable engaging in nutritional counseling without fear of being judged.
