The American Red Cross relies on volunteers to help us with our mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities in your local area. No matter your interests, skills, or schedule, you can make a significant contribution to your community and help people in their moments of greatest need. You may find your own life changed in the process.
DISASTER CYCLE SERVICES: Help individuals and communities prepare, respond, and recover from disasters large and small, from home fires to tornadoes. Provide food, shelter, essential relief supplies, comfort, and hope to people affected by disasters. Use your professional skills in the Individual Disaster Care programs such as Disaster Mental Health, Disaster Health Services, or Disaster Spiritual Care.
*We still need disaster responders to help our communities down in Florida who have been impacted by Hurricane Ian*
SERVICE TO THE ARMED FORCES: Connect families and veterans with resources in response to emergencies, train military families in coping and resiliency skills, and supply recreational and therapeutic support in military and VA health care facilities.
